QPR have announced massive plans to build a 40,000 seated stadium in the North West of London. The stadium in “Old Oak” will be a replacement for their current home, Loftus Road situated in Shepherds Bush in London. There are big changes and renovations being made to the area and the stadium will be a big part of this, in a new area known as “New Queen’s Park”.

QPR Chairman Tony Fernandes raised his voice regarding the need for a stadium bigger than the current 18,000 capacity Loftus Road. He states that there is no room for expansion at their current ground and a move to the new stadium will bring new revenues over the years for QPR with the obvious expected increase in ticket sales.

The development plans for the Championship club will also bring 24,000 new homes to the area, a hotel and a leisure and entertainment area as well as 25,000 – 50,000 expected new jobs.
