Things may be turning a corner for David Moyes, in what has been a dreadful start to the season for United fans, 2 wins in a row and 2 convincing performances without a goal conceded is a good start to what could be the run of form that many have predicted, where United will go virtually undefeated for the remainder of the season. Too positive? Well they’ve done that sort of thing before, but with a dodgy midfield and a few injuries to discuss, it’s probably more unlikely this time and certain the EPL is becoming out of reach for Man U.
Seven points separates Stoke and United in the league, but that’s all aside for now as these two meat at the Britannia in this quarter final Capital One Cup encounter.The two clubs last met in October with United pulling off a 3-2 win thanks to a late Hernandez goal after going 1-0 and 2-1 down. The Potters and their mid table position are unlikely European candidates so this will be the only trophy the club can likely gain this year, an extra incentive to put on a show against the Manchester Red Devils. It remains to be seen though, if Stoke have the attacking power to get the goals required this evening against Man U. Changes are likely with United boss Moyes stating “”We have a lot of games coming up so we need to use the squad. I’ll look at this game and see who is best suited”.
